Hi all thanks for taking the time to read my post
I own a basic lenovo ideapad z500, the 4gb ram version with i5 Processor.
I was interested in upgrading the RAM in the laptop, using CRUCIAL Memories diagnostic tool, I wanted to order another 4gb of RAM to help speed the laptop up.
What screwdriver do I need to open up the laptop? What is its name or is it a generic one for all of the screws to get to the RAM BAYS? I am unsure as to what one i need.
Thanks so much.

Hi Fader ,
Welcome to the Community Forums.
From the product specification of this model :
Standard memory : 16GB max7 ; PC3-12800 1600MHz DDR3*, non-parity, dual-channel capable, two 204-pin SO-DIMM sockets * System automatically clocks down for processors with 1333MHz DDR3 memory controller
If you are planning on upgrading to 8 GB RAM, best to match it with the current specification of the ones currently installed (checking on the sticker label ) .
Regarding the type of screwdriver , you can match it with the exact screws from the manual .
Removing the keyboard first (page 33) M2 × 12 mm, flat-head, nylok-coated (2) (Z500/P500) (page 34-36)
Removing the optical drive (page 37) M2.5 × 6 mm, flat-head, nylok-coated (1) (Z500/P500)
Removing the bottom cover (page41 -42) M2.5 × 6 mm, flat-head, nylok-coated (5) , Remove the rubber feet from the bottom .Then remove a total of ten screws (four (3) M2.5 × 6 mm, flat-head, nylok-coated (4), three (4) M2 × 5 mm, flat-head, nylok-coated (3) and three (5) M2 × 2.5 mm, flat-head, nylok-coated (3) from the bottom.

Hi Fader ,
You can try to get complete precision screwdriver set from any local shops similar to this as example .
Likewise you can google search the size with the keyword screwdriver to find availability on your location.
Do have the screw sizes with you to verify that it would have respective screw drivers to match.
