Lenovo Z500 TouchPad changed and now Elan/Syntiaptics is not working properly

Hello,

I bought a Lenovo Z500 and after a while the touchpad started peeling off so I went to a lenovo service and changed the touchpad. After this, when I got the laptop back, the touchpad was working fine, but I couldn't scroll using two fingers (as I used to) so I reinstalled the Elan/Synaptics driver, but still not working. I reinstalled the whole system (Windows 7 x64) and is still not working.

More details: Before the touchpad being changed I had the little icon in the task bar and when I used the mouse it appered in the icon how many fingers are touching the touchpad, now it doesn't. I tried to acces Elan by clicking on that icon (as I used to) and nothing's happening.

 

I am waiting for a solution, because I use the touchpad more often that the mouse and without the Elan fuctions it's pretty much useless righnow.

I’m sorry to hear that the 2/3 finger touchpad features I not working after the repair and issue persists even after re-installing the driver as well as the OS (Operating System). Please check if these features are displayed in the Mouse Properties in the “Control Panel” and if the issue persists even after configuring these settings. I would strongly suggest you to contact our Technical Support for further Assistance to get the details of the nearest Authorized Service Center to get the issue analyzed.
