Lenovo Z500 ideapad

Hi All

This is my 1st post so please bare with me (excuse grammar using a non english keyboard)

I upraded from WIN 8 to 8.1 and then WIN 10. A windows update caused brightness problem on my laptop that I cannot correct. I have tried to contact Lenovo direct but I cant get past the laptop seriel nbr input which I take straight from the back of the laptop but it is not recognized I need a new copy of WIN 8 and wanted to know if Lenovo would provide that I have pulled my product key from the computer and I just need WIN 8.

Any info geatly appreciated

Product key is stored in BIOS, so there is no need to use any app to read it.

Download a tool to create bootable media from Microsoft website and install Windows 8.1 using it:

Moreover at first, you may try to restore your Windows 10 to factory state (do a backup of all important data first). Go to Settings -> Recovery -> Reset this PC and select Remove everything.
