Lenovo Z500 replace Intel N-2230 wireless card and remove DVD-RW for Caddy + SSD

I have bought a beautiful Lenovo Ideapad Z500 (i7 3xx2qm + 8 GB DDR3 + 1TB HDD hybrid + 8GB SSD + nVIdia GT740m)....it's very good notebook...but i have one insopportable problem.

In datasheet about sellers it report that Wifi it's b/g/n and Gigabyte lan...

...but it do not support 5 Ghz lan and Z500 have only a 10/100 RJ-45

We are in 2014! How it's possible that Lenovo produced a notebook with a fantastic hardware and not included support to dual band wireless with 2,4 and 5 Ghz and not included support to 10/100/1000

My old notebook (7 years) support this type of connection!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1)Can i raplace the wireless card with one that support dual band wifi?

2)Can i replace the ethernet card? with a 10/100/1000 lan?

3)Can i replace the DVD-RW with a caddy + SSD 250 GB?

Thanks

Re: Lenovo Z500 replace Intel N-2230 wireless card and remove DVD-RW for Caddy + SSD

1)Can i raplace the wireless card with one that support dual band wifi?

Answer: NO. But you can use a USB dual band  wifi adapter instead.

2)Can i replace the ethernet card? with a 10/100/1000 lan?

Answer: NO. But this function may not be needed if you properly choose the wifi adapter mentioned in question 1.

3)Can i replace the DVD-RW with a caddy + SSD 250 GB?

Answer: Maybe. You have to match the connector and the physical dimension of the caddy.
