Lenovo Z51 trackpad is not working every start up

Hi, Please help

z51-70 amd graphics core i7

Issue:

Trackpad is not working even start up

when I connect external mouse still the trackpad is not working

Welcome to the Forums  

 

As per the query we understood that you are facing issue with the touchpad not working in your Lenovo Z51-70 laptop.

 

Try to reinstall the touchpad driver and check for the issue, also boot the system into safe mode and check if the touchpad works.

I did install the latest driver. Touchpad still not working.

In my case, the settings somehow got disabled.

 

I have re-enabled them by following the below steps, this is for Windows 10

 

1. Click on Start

2. Search for Settings

3. Click on Settings

4. In the Windows Settings window click on Devices

5. Select Touchpad

6. Click on Additional Settings

7. Click on the last tab ELAN in the Mouse Properties window

8. Check the status of the Elan Smart-Pad, if it's disabled, click on Enable Device button
