I have a one-year old Lenovo Z510, I have already flashed the battery firmware 5 months ago.
Now the laptop shutoff at 35% of batter with no warning or notice that the battery is almost empty. This problem was occurring before the first firmware flash and that flash solved it. So please is there any other firmware update because I cannot flash the current firmware (same version).

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
Unfortunately I'm not sure about the Firmware I'm afraid, but please, Try a static discharge for this, it may help to resolve the issue or at least get rid of any built up static on the motherboard.
(If the battery is internal, please just skip the remove/replace battery steps.)
1. Turn the unit off
2. Remove the battery and the Mains adapter
3. Press and hold the front power button for 30 seconds
4. Replace the battery and the Mains adapter
5. Turn the unit on as normal
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.

The problem is that the battery is internal and I have to open the laptop to get to it. The previous battery firmware solved this issue 5 months ago but I need a new version.

BUmping this thread, cause I need an update too. Same issue, had to update the firmware last time after which the battery started working perfectly. Now it is messed up again.

The battery wearing out is reasonable. The standby time going from 2 hours to 2 seconds in a day is not, which is what is happening with me. This is exactly the same thing that happened the last time so I'm pretty sure it is a firmware issue

same problem here. I updated the battery firmware several months ago and solved the problem. Now I have a similar issue, please, release a new version of the firmware!
