Lenovo Z570 inbuilt speaker test issue

2016-07-26, 4:20 AM

Hello, I have Lenovo Z570 and for some reason, inbuilt, speakers are not firing up. Before they wwent kaput, there was some nonsense noise few time and then no sound. I check thru earphone audio out port, I can hear sound thru it. What all I tried

(a) Deleted and updated drivers.

(b) Reinstalled the OS (Windows 10 pro)

(c) Updated BIOS.

(d) Checked Device manager, all ok, disabled other out audio device like Nvidia and Intel digital out.

Before I open the laptop to change the speakers, I want to do a audio beep/loop test outside windows in dos mode or something. I have downloaded the latest Lenovo Linux Diagnostics ver 4.7.0.8081 Mar2016 and ran it thru USB, it does not give any option to test Audio speaker, I tried other 3rd party software like UBCD, Hiren etc but none give option to check speaker thru beep. Any one can help me with how to do this test. Thankyou in advance.

Hi uzielkr ,

Gretings.

As individual diagnostics do not offer ausio test, you may want to test it with the XP mode in Hirens and see if online audio would be heard.  As this model does have beep codes to identify post issues , removing the memory would give out those expected beeps ensuring that BIOS configuration tab on power beeps are enable as default since BIOS have been updated.

Update us how it goes.

Regards

One more Issue, I have upgraded to Win10pro, Im unable to see bluetooth in my system, I checked device manager, system info, SIW etc, I installed broadcom software but BT nowhere to be seen as hardware is not there in my system but in Wn7 it was there. The front wireless switch is on and wifi is fine, when i presss hot key Fn+F5, onli wifi gets on or off whereas in win7, I got option of both wifi n BT to turn off n on, where could I be gong wrong?? Thanx

Hi uzielkr ,

Greetings.

Z570 is not among the listed Win10 supported device as same reason as no drivers available from the support site for Windows 10.

"Some peripherals may not be compatible with Windows 10. After upgrading to Windows 10, some software or hardware functions of your computer might be unavailable. In addition, some software issues might occur. Installing the latest Windows updates, device drivers, and application updates may fix these issues."

Inbox driver is a native driver that is supplied with the Operating System as Windows updates may be able to provide . Going to the device manager to right click for update and browse on this computer. Let me pick option, to choose from provided list.

Alternatively , you can try downloading older bluetooth drivers not to install it automatically but to run it in compatibility mode. There is no guarantee to these alternative options other than going back to the original working OS tested for this machine.

Regards
