Hello all. I recieved my brand new Z580 on Saturday, 15th September. Everything in this laptop is amazing! ( apart from the webcam) but I have a problem which i cant seem to fix. The harddrive gets mildly warm to mildly hot for no reason! Can anyone help me?

please download free CPUID Hardware Monitor to check temperatures of your Z580,
HDD temps of about 40 - 50 deg. C should be OK...

to keep internal temperatures low, please make sure air vents at the bottom are never covered,
may use stick on rubber-feet to elevate rear of laptop by approximately 2 cm to aid air circulation.
See HWM screenshot of my healthy Y560p,
note that min temps are during sleep state, max temps are with the 'pedal to the metal',
at ambient room temp of 25 deg C:
BTW... these are not precision measurements, allow for at least +/- 5% sensor inaccuracy!
