Welcome to the Lenovo Community !

Have you tried doing a static discharge?

1. Shut down the computer and unplug the charger / adapter.
2. Remove the battery. (If removable)
3. Press and hold the Power Button for 15 seconds.
4. Re-install the battery, plug in the charger / adapter if needed and power up the system to see if the problem was resolved.

Re: Lenovo Z70 Laptop certain keys not working.

If the static discharge didn't work then I would next try using an external USB keyboard.  If the external keyboard works without problems then I would suspect the issue is a hardware problem related to the laptop's keyboard.

If the USB external keyboard works good then I would next try re-seating the cable on your laptop's keyboard.  Over time the cable may have worked loose resulting in a poor connection.  Starting on page #46, your model's Hardware Maintenance Manual (HMM) will explain how to remove the keyboard and access the keyboard's ribbon cable.  If you are not comfortable working inside your system then see if a friend or local computer repair shop can assist you.

If the cable re-seating does not resolve the problem then I would just replace the keyboard.  Due to the age of your system, new keyboards are relatively inexpensive on both Amazon and eBay.  If your present keyboard is lighted, be sure to get the appropriate replacement.

Here is a link to the HMM for your reference.......

There is also a Lenovo Video Training course which will demonstrate the procedures outlined in the HMM which you may find of interest.   Here is the link.....
