Lenovo ideapad 510 start up and stucks on lenovo logo screen

bought this laptop at around march 2014, perfectly fine, problem started about a week or 2 ago, when i press the power button it booted up to the lenovo screen and stucked there.

the only 2 ways that i can boot it normally is by:

1. when its off, press onekey recovery and select normal startup

2. when its off, keep holding the power button until it boots to the lenovo logo screen and release the power button after it shuts down from the lenovo logo screen, then press the power button. that way it will boot normally

any possible explaination and solution? thanks

Re: Lenovo ideapad 510 start up and stucks on lenovo logo screen

Hi  Edgarlee,

Welcome to Lenovo Community!

As per the query we understood that you are facing issue with system stuck at Lenovo logo.

As per your query, please disconnect all the external devices and try to power on the system, try to boot to BIOS and check for the issue.

If you are able to boot to BIOS, try to load the BIOS default setting and check for the issue.

If you are not able to boot to BIOS then please perform a power drain by disconnecting all the external devices connected to the system, also remove the battery and shutdown the machine and press and hold the power button for 30 seconds and now connect adapter and battery and try to power on the system and check for the issue.

Hope this helps! Do post us back for further queries.

Best regards,

Hi Edgarlee,

Welcome to Lenovo Community!

As per the query we understood that you are facing issue with the system stuck at Lenovo logo in your Lenovo 510 laptop.

As you have mentioned that you have set the bios to default, also please perform the power drain and check for the issue do not remove the battery.

As this is the issue might be with the hard drive, i would like to suggest you to remove the HDD if possible and try to boot the system to the BIOS.

Hope this helps! Do post us back for further queries.

Best regards,
