Lenovo ideapad Z500 Touch backlit problem

[ Edited ]

Hi! Firstly sorry for my bad English.

Yesterday i was playing the game with my friends. When we are playing we press  a lot of keys.(There can be different combinations or we may have damaged.)

-I reviewed the previous subject but they are not working for me.

-I tried FN+SPACEBAR combination but this is not working.

-I tried Lenovo Energy Manager it is not working.

-Caps Lock and Num Lock's light is working.

Re: Lenovo ideapad Z500 Touch backlit problem

Hi utkutrk ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

You can try testing individual key specially FN and spacebar if it is working.

Turn off the machine and disconnect the ac charger and battery if you have the tools.

Press down the power button for 12 seconds to drain flea power.

Place back the battery and connect the ac charger.

Restart to check if backit keyboard works ( test further with FN + spacebar pressing 2-4 times).

Update us how it goes.

Regards

Re: Lenovo ideapad Z500 Touch backlit problem

Hi utkutrk,

Greetings.

How was testing FN keys (testing individual key)?

Shutting down the system and turning on the machine using the Novo Button (item8 page87) will show the Novo Menu to access the BIOS. On this screen try pressing FN + spacebar. On the Exit tab, check if loading defaults then saving before exit works.

If you have the same issue, best to have it check by your local service center as they would have the tools to check internally.

Regards
