Re: Lenovo ideapad Z710 How to disable function keys?

While I appreciate that it is an issue, this isn't marketed or considered a "gaming" system so the need for a key to be fixed to accommodate WoW seems a bit absurd.

Why not simply remap the function to a different key?

Re: Lenovo ideapad Z710 How to disable function keys?

I'm not going to use my computer for gaming, I'm using it for software development and similar stuff, but I don't agree with you: it's not a solution to remap keys.

Personally, I'm affected severly by something as simple as using Google Chrome, or Visual Studio, or Microsoft Office: to close the current tab/document you just press ctrl+f4, on a regular keyboard. Currently, nothing happens. A quick press on only f4 closes the whole program: it's quite anyoing.

I'm having a hard time deciding if I'm going to keep this computer, or return it as defect - I can't decide

Re: Lenovo ideapad Z710 How to disable function keys?

Hi all, I have the same Issue with the F4 key like you. It's disabled in the BIOS but it's still working and making me very angry a lot of times... We NEED a quick solution like bios update ASAP because everybody paid a lot of for this nice laptop so we want some support for this money.

I hope the devs 'll do their best to make us very satisfaied.

Kind Regards

Levente
