Re: Lenovo ideapad y410p slow start up boot time

you might not even have the ssd (solid state disk) and only have a hdd, you can find out by going to computer management and selecting the storage snap-in to see what your disk looks like this. Disk 0 is my ssd and disk 1 is my hdd.

Re: Lenovo ideapad y410p slow start up boot time

no you only have one hdd and no ssd so you can not use express caching sorry and without it i find windows starts up pretty slow for me as well, you could get a m.2 type ssd for it but hey are very expensive and hard to find atm. can you take a screen shot of your msconfig startup tab section so we can see what starts up with your system at boot?

Re: Lenovo ideapad y410p slow start up boot time

okay not much you can disable on that if you have skype opening at boot you should disable that same with steam if you have it those are the ones that ona hdd will make your boot about 3 times longer guarenteed. if your full boot is around 1 minute id say its not to bad for a hdd. its the best your gonna get.

Hi xdaiskex,
In addition to the good suggestions above, I would like to ask what anti-virus are you using and have you have run any security scans?
