I have a lenovo p500 (i5 3210m motherboard) which initially did not come with a backlit keyboard. I removed the keyboard according the instructions in the hardware manual.
There is a slot to the right of the normal keyboard connection, which appears to be meant for a backlit connection. I do see a little chip with points that can connect to a backlit power wire. However, there is no firm connection to place the backlit keyboard wire onto the chip.
Could anyone help me with this? Is it possible to even power a backlit keyboard on this motherboard?
