Lenovo y400 gt650m Dead

Hello,

 

I've had my y400 for a couple years now and my gpu died a few months ago (Code 43). I can still use the computer thanks to the intel Integrated GPU.

My issue is i can't install the drivers for intel and theres is absolutely no way to adjust screen brightness anymore.

I tried change power plan settings, 3rd party apps, fn key etc nothing works. The windows blue light filter also doesnt work.

 

I Think the issue is that i can't install intel drivers when i go device manager all I see is generic pnp monitor.

 

Is there any fix that can force Intel GPU to show ? or to simply adjust brightness ?

Sorry for the delayed response, just joined here recently and noticed your post.

 

Do you still need assistance about this concern?

 

You can try updating Intel VGA driver for Windows through this link.

 

Restart the computer afterwards once updated.

Thank you for your Reply Adriel,

 

I can't install this driver because the  intel gpu is not detected. I get this error : This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software.

Thanks for the response.

 

Try downloading the Intel UHD driver that's provided on this previous post.

 

Please see screenshot below as well for reference.

You may also download Lenovo Vantage app and update Intel GPU from there as well.
