I'm concerned about my GPU (960m) it gets over 100 celcius hot(according to superb game boost) while playing Cs:GO.(same with other games) and fps jumps from ~10 to ~130 (even tho cs go should run well with high settings) also noise is quite strong coming from the fan. I consider changing fan to my y50, could it help? and if the GPU is damaged, is it possible to somehow check it?(I have latest drivers installed and 960m selected as primary gpu)

Hi there, Magester –
Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.
You are forcing the discrete GPU (the Nvidia GPU) to run all the time, But this will draw more power and produce more heat, however the graphics performance will be higher.
Technically, the Intel integrated graphics is always active, although it is not always in use. Nvidia graphics will turn on and off according to need. Software from Nvidia called Optimus automatically switches between integrated (Intel) and dedicated (Nvidia) graphics, according to the application.
Update us how it goes.
