Hi Mohammed92,

From the description you have provided you will need to replace the Display and the SSHd, then purchase the recovery media. all in all you would be looking at around $300-400 (Based on what i paid converted £>$) for these parts and the work to be carried out. Best bet is to talk to Lenovo Support and see what options are availble to you.

Hope this help you and let us know how you get on

Re: Lenovo y5070

My Y50-70 also out of warranty but still not counter any of the hardware problem (other then keyboard lol).

I'm using my Y50-70 almost like desktop. Meaning I almost didn't close my Y50-70 lid and have it running almost 24/7. FYI, my harddisk (which is SSHD from WD, those slow model that WD doesn't support/bother to help when faulty BTW) have running time of over 700 days now. S.M.A.R.T. still report good health but my D drive some how have read error now. I think I'll replace it with SSD when it is dead or running time exceed 1000 days.

Also, if the screen flickreing happen when you are running game/heavy GPU and didn't use Nvidia (running on Intel GPU). Most likely you are using outdate/faulty Intel GPU driver. Try using lastest Intel GPU 4600 from Intel website may solve the problem.

If you are using windows 10 and the flickreing happen after you are running games (either on Intel or Nvidia). Try disable Game Bar (the XBOX thingy) and restart your system may help. Because Game Bar have some bug on Intel 4600 (which IDK if they fixed it yet).
