2012-11-21, 19:59 PM
I recently sent in my lenovo y580 to get repaired for the heat sync problem (turned of and wouldn't turn back on.) When i try to play games such as skyrim my laptop will shut off without warning randomly and i have to turn it on. (randomly as in within 2min of playing) please let me know if i need a replacement.

This sounds pretty much like your cooling system is not working well. I my self have a y580 and it perform well and cool down very quickly and it also does not get heat up very much when I play games. If they can get it repaired for you that would be fine but go for a replacement if you can

I got the pc back and the heatsyncs and fans were not reconnected to the motherboard properly after the last repair. They also replaced the kb due to function fail (wouldn't always recognize the keyboard. Once again lenovo has done an awesome job and now everything is working so if you have this problem send your pc into Lenovo
