Lenovo y70 70touch overheat

 Hello i have made huge mistake. Then i was changing thermal paste for CPU and GPU i have remove that yellow silicone and now pc start overheating 90-100c then playing. Maybe someone can tell me how this silicone calls? To buy it. Ty

Hi Mindeltu,

 

Welcome to the Community Forums. 

 

Thermal pads allow contact conduction of heat to the heatsink bar assembly for dissipation.

It would come with the entire heatsink Part number 5H40G59806 Heatsink C Y70-70T (item 11 page 67 of the hardware manual) and has no separate part number to order.

 

If the old pads cannot be measured by its thickness (or at least approximate), others would try DIY like folding a thinner thermal pad for a closer thickness like here else getting a caliper measurement for the old pad and order similar pads from other resellers.
