I was quickly going thru a few ram upgrade topic but can't find the right answer.
So I'd like to surprise my Mrs and bought an SSD into her laptop and want to upgrade the memory as well.
But I'm not sure which one I choose 🤔
The laptop has this ram atm
Sk Hynix 4gb ddr3 1600mhz pc3l 12800s 11-13-B4
hmt451s6bfr8a pb no aa 1443
my question is can I choose diff part number from this ram? Like
so basically there are a lots of them with diff letter after the "6" digit.
Is it a problem if it won't be identical? Or just the MHz voltage brand should be match?
Thank you for pointing me on the right direction 🙏🤞

Welcome to Lenovo Forums.
But as fellow user enthusiast , as long as the specs is the same :
16GB max / PC3-12800 1600MHz DDR3L, non-parity, dual-channel capable, two 204-pin SO-DIMM sockets . Better having same brand for full compatibility in case you plan to get 2 pieces of 8GB .
Check for the reviews and brand certification saying that they certify it to run on this model.
From the hardware manual list , you can also match for the manufacturer part (ex . M471B1G73QH0-YK0 ) for preferred brands making sure that you get a PC3-12800 1600MHz DDR3L (1.35v Low Voltage Low Power) . As I buyer I check on return options too just in case .
Hope the above information helps and please let us know how you go about.
