Re: Lenovo z51-70 unknown device

So maybe that's the 'unknown device' shown in the device manager, as I didn't install the software?

Re: Lenovo z51-70 unknown device

Hello,

I have the same issue on my Lenovo Z51. Did you find an answer that works? I also tried the solutions that were directed to you, and neither of them worked. I tried to enable in BIOS the Intel smart connect technology, but I did't find it.

Best regards,

Lorant.

No, unfortunately, I haven't found any solution for this problem yet. If you came up with any idea how to fix it, please let me know.

Re: Lenovo z51-70 unknown device

ACPI\INT33A3 - That device isn't smart connect. You won't find that deviceID in the INF file.

I have a different laptop with an Intel RealSense F200 webcam, which has that DeviceID in the drivers.

The drivers are hard to find, they're buried in the SDK, found here:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25044/Intel-RealSense-Depth-Camera-Manager

You would see that deviceid in this driver: IntelDFUACPI.inf

Re: Lenovo z51-70 unknown device

Thanks for your reply.

Please notice that the link you have provided refers to drivers for Win 8.1/10 only, while I have Win 7 installed. Do you suggest me to install them anyway?

Re: Lenovo z51-70 unknown device

If they don't provide 7 drivers and they do win 8 you should be able to use win 8 drivers on 7

Re: Lenovo z51-70 unknown device

You're right, the drivers only support Windows 8.1 and above. It installs easily in a new OS, but not Win7. Sorry I didn't notice.

There are no Win7 drivers available from Intel - and maybe there never will be. But I did make that driver install in Win7. You have to get out your admin hammer and force it to accept the "unsigned" driver and then it will comply.

The driver actually is signed, just not for Win7.
