Manual fan control for Ideapad Z565.

My ideapad gets excessively hot when playing games or preforming other processor intensive activities, often reaching alarming levels near 90 degrees and higher. My fan seems to not function intelligently, with it turning on far too late. Is there any way to manually control the fan with windows 64 bit? I found a driver for 32 bit but alas, I'm not using 32 bit.

Re: Manual fan control for Ideapad Z565.

lenovo doesn't provide fan control software. but you can try to check if the fan is clean. also, re-install power management and/or flashing bios update ( if there's new ) may help you.

please, post back the results.

Is there a Smart Noise control "button" on the Z565?

Should be in the row of buttons upper right of keyboard.

Modes are Silent, Normal, and Dust Cleaning.

Maybe you have it on Silent, which would mean low speed.
