Microphone Not Working in WinXP

Hello everyone!
I know WinXP isn't supported by Lenovo, but I installed it and used the drivers off the Lenovo site for my Y510. The only thing that doesn't appear to be working is the microphone. In my "Sounds and audio devices" control panel, under the "audio" tab, I'm selected to "Realtek HD Audio Input". The "advanced" button is greyed out, and when I click on the "volume" button, I get 3 sliders..."Recording", "CD Volume" (greyed out) and "Microphone" (greyed out). I'm not able to make any recording in the Windows sound recorder. I do have Legacy Audio Drivers installed in my Device Manager, as well as the Realtek HD Audio drivers. Shouls I remove the Legacy stuff? Does anyone have other configuration suggestions?
Thanks,
Eric

Re: Microphone Not Working in WinXP

Try using not system interface but the HD special interface - it may be more functional.
Also try latest Realtek drivers from official Realtek site.
