I have an unusual problem that occurs once every week or so in that the mouse pointer stops working/moving when i try to use it and the only way im able to move it is by pressing&keeping pressed down either of the mouse buttons.
The only solution i have found to resolve the situation is to restart my laptop but its getting a little frustrating especially if im in the middle of something important and i dont want to have to do this everytime this happens as the laptop is only about 8 months old and shouldnt be doing this
Any help or advice would be much appreciated
Kind regards Mark

Hi there, Giraffe -
Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.
This sounds like it may be an issue with the UltraNav driver. I would recommend opening the Start menu, typing Device Manager into the Search box and opening the program. Once in Device Manager, open the tree for Mice and other pointing devices. Right-click on the device that appears in the tree and select Properties. From here, navigate to the Driver tab and select Uninstall...from the bottom of the list and then follow the prompts. After the device is uninstalled, restart the machine. This process allows Windows to install a generic driver, which may help your issues. If it does, I would try installing the Synaptics mouse and keyboard driver found here, as it has helped others with similar issues in the past.
