First you could try a possible hardware solution.
I don't know your skill level, so will post all the steps I used.
With laptop off and unplugged, turn it over, remove battery,
and two screws holding dvd drive in.
One is just inside edge by dvd face, other is center of the memory/cpu
removeable panel, closest to the dvd.
Then carefully pry it out and put it back in firmly.
If you have trouble removing it use a paper clip to pop the drive tray
out (small hole on face of drive) and gently use tray to pull.
If you are not comfortable with this idea, don't do it.
If you attempt, go easy, everything fits tight with close tolerances.
Serch web for "dvd drive disappeared vista" to start software troubleshooting.

This happens quite often. Two things.
1) Do you have any other operating system installed, like Linux? The GRUB bootloader has some issues with the ACPI settings of some Lenovo products. If yes, you have 2 solutions.
1.1) Use LILO
1.2) Add the "acpi=off" flag to the end of the kernel line in the grub.conf file.
2) If you have not done anything strange, it might be some crappy Microsoft thing. I don't know if the Y530 ships with the "One Key Recovery" function (I have a Y710 which does, but I wasted that partition 20min after I got my laptop ). Doing that should help. Otherwise just reinstall and hope for the best. It happened to me once and the reinstallation worked (I was not dual booting at that time so could help).
Hope that helps
