New HD - No restore discs

Hi, I have a Z570 ideapad which recently had a HD change (the old one just died)

I don't have the discs to restore the OS, is there any way I can order them? The laptop is out of warranty but I'd still like to keep my OS copy.

Thanks!

Re: New HD - No restore discs

You can contact Lenovo in your country and ask them about how much the recovery discs will cost.

(I believe in the US is $60)

If the difference is negligible, I would recommend buying a copy of Windows and keeping that instead of the Lenovo Repair discs.

Re: New HD - No restore discs

Thanks, that actually makes sense. I just checked and a new copy of Windows costs about the same.

Thanks again!
