I just recived my new Y510 today and I was wondering how best to manage the 30 gig c: drive? I shrunk the swap file to 1 gig for c: and created a fixed 4 gig swap file on d:. I am wondering if there is a way to easily redirect c:\users to d:??
I know there is a way to specify the \Users location during setup using an unattend.txt file. I'm thinking of trying to gain access to the hidden partition (maybe using an ubuntu live cd) to see if the novo reinstaller uses unattended.txt. Has anyone tried anything like this?
Any tips or tricks that people are using to manage the space on C: would be appreciated! Thanks!!!

Lenovo NOVA recovery restores a system from an image that is stored in hidden partition.
To redirect just go Start->Rightclick "Documents->Properties->Location.

You also may change TEMP values, change location of "Documents', disable hiberante, reallocate swap-file, disable driver cache, prefetch. These are basic improvements.
Deep improvements and system cut can be done by preparing the distributive of Vista with the software "vLite" - I use it.
