P400 Only black screen failing to start up.

My Lenovo was plugged into an outlet controlled by a light switch which over night someone turned off causing my battery to die.

So the next morning I turned it on after letting it charge and only the key board lit up with a blank screen.

The fan turned on for a brief moment and stopped.

The only response I get from the laptop is a beep when I uplug or plug in the AC adaptor.

I have removed the battery, held down the power, plugged theAC adaptor in started and got the same result. Even after plugging the battery back in.

I have also tried to plug it in to another monitor but the result is the same and the monitor doesn't register that the computer is on.

How can I get my computer back on without having to send it in to a lenovo repair center?

Hi

Just try the below steps :-

1- Make sure the machine is off

2- Connect the AC adapter

3- Hold the power button down for approx 15 sec

Then check the mahcine and let me know

Thanks
