Re: P500 Brghtness

BTW, after refreshing the machine the HD4000 driver is again "Version 4.0.0 - Build 9.17.10.2817" Guess I will not manually update the driver from Lenovo's site. LOL

Re: P500 Brghtness

Well, Im going to assume at this point we're running different laptop models, so im glad a system restore helped you.

As far as "Plugged In, Not Charging" goes, this occurs when the Lenovo Energy Manegement program is set to "Optimized Battery Health", meaning it intentionally lets the battery discharge and charge, discharge and charge, and increases the batteris overall lifespan of recharge cycles.
If you select "maximum battery life" instead of optimized health your battetry should charge fully.

Cheers.

Re: P500 Brghtness

I am having the same problems as you and the same model. I have a few programs on my computer that required activation keys and I fear that I will not be able to reuse them if I reformat. Do you have any suggestions. Also, something a little interesting, I fit the F12 button when the Lenovo sign came up when I was turning my computer on and the buttons worked until that screen was passed. It no longer works. Any ideas?

Re: P500 Brghtness

thank you VERY much, Remadon. this worked for me! the first time this issue happened, the numbskull at lenovo tech support said the only solution was to "refresh" my system. sounded innocuous enough - little did I know that it would wipe out all me programs and app data (preserved all files). so glad I don't have to go through that again and my computer works again! stoked!!
