Possible Defective SSD? Y410P

Hello, just wanted to get a bit of confirmation from anyone before I contact Lenovo for waranty.

I've been having a few glitches with my y410p and it's Sleep funtion when I stubled upon something. The 24g SSD that my computer is supposed to come with doesn't show up under "Storage" in the "Computer Management" menu or the BIOS.

I did uninstall "Intel Rapid Storage Technology" to allleviate my Sleep mode problems, so I'm wondering if that had anything to do with it or if the SSD disconnected somehow because of it.

Also, I did look to make sure I ordered the model with SSD in my reciept and box.

Wondering if there are other ways to double-check if it is defective or if the SSD needs to be "reinstlled".

Thanks.

Re: Possible Defective SSD? Y410P

Hi SPapa,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

I’m sorry to hear that the SSD is not getting detected in your Y410p BIOS or Computer management menu, I suggest you to re-install "Intel Rapid Storage Technology" driver in the computer or perform System Restore and check if the SSD is getting detected in the BIOS. Below are links to perform System Restore in the computer for Windows 7 & Windows 8.

Hope this helps!!!

Do post us back if the issue still persists.

Best Regards

Shiva Kumar
