Re: Post your battery backup time and your laptop model

thank you legnum7 for posting your details. I also use battery plan as "best battery health" most of the times, but it stops charging at 50%, but you said it as 80%,

how to change it?

i am using Lenovo Energy management ver 6.0, i dont find any option to change the stop charge %.

Re: Post your battery backup time and your laptop model

Lenovo does not make universal enery management system, so it all depends on your laptop's version of it.
for y560 it's 80% for some others it's 50% etc Smiley Happy

Re: Post your battery backup time and your laptop model

ı have lenovo ideapad u300s ultrabook and battery ends in 4hrs 30min usually.

1) it has i5 2467 ulv intel core processor 128gb msaata ssd 13.3" lcd 4gb ram and intel hd3000 graphics

I did 12hrs charge at the first charge.
After that i always wait till battery ends and after low power alert charged fully to use. did not cut off ac power before full charge or did not charge before it gave alert of low power on battery.

I used battery reset option from lenovo energy management program. result was same at high performance mode.

in my country forums there is only a few people uses or the that amount of users only talk in forums and they all have same usage of battery nearly.

I was expecting more hours of work from an ultrabook.

Re: Post your battery backup time and your laptop model

The info below is only when I'm using the battery

1) Y470: I7-2670QM, 8 GB DDR3, Intel HD 3000, 500 GB 7200 RPM Seagate

2) 6-cell 48 Whr

3) Battery usage of the course of 1 year:

Scenario 1: Web browsing with average page refresh of 1 seconds, word and excel document and 30% brightness (5 to 7 hours)

Scenario 2: Web browsing while listening to WMP or Youtube music video in the background + around 45 to an hour of full screen flash video, an avg page refresh of 30 seconds and 30% brightness (3.5 to 4.5 hours)

I never played 3d games on the battery as I don't want reduced performance when gaming.

4) total charging time of 2.5 to 3 hours.

Lenovo Y470: i7-2670QM | 8 GB DDR3 1333 MHz RAM | Nvidia GeForce GT 550M | 500 GB 7200 RPM Seagate HDD | ASUS PCE-AC56 802.11ac Network Adapter | Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

Re: Post your battery backup time and your laptop model

4400 mah battery, z580 i5. About 1 1/2 hours downloading/surfing over wifi + 1/2 - 3/4 brightness setting using the battery conservation mode where the battery charges up to only 60%. Thus, 1 1/2 hours for 60% battery is pretty good - that's about 2 1/2 hours if I started from 100% full charge.
