Re: Power Management

Hi khamsripai,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

I’m sorry that your Z500 is displaying compatibility issue error message with LEM (Lenovo Energy Management), re-installing the LEM in the computer after un-installing the previous version should resolve the issue, you can un-install from the Control panel>Program and Features and un-install it, then below is the link to download the LEM for the computer.

Hope this helps!!!

Do post us back if the issue persists.

Best Regards

Shiva Kumar

Re: Power Management

Hello,

I did as shown, but the message regarding the incompatibility is still in the archived folder, how do I know the problem is solved?

My battery lasts half the time the system announces (e.g. it says I have 30 minutes remaining, it last 15 minutes).

I also mention that my Z500 is bought about a month ago, and running windows 8.

Thank you!

Re: Power Management

Hi Alina,

Welcome to Lenovo Community!

I’m sorry to hear that the message is displayed still, I suggest you to re-install the LEM (Lenovo Energy Management) in administrator mode. While installing the driver right click on the downloaded file and select “Run as administrator” option to get it installed without any error.

Do post us back if the issue still persists.

Best Regards

Shiva Kumar

Re: Power Management

No thanks for this as it took 7 months for anybody to answer - I had it fixed at my local dealer.

I have a problem that says 'Recovery media not installed'. When I go to fix options it says "Download" but when I press download it takes me to solution centre where there is no download for Recovery media. I have a Z500 laptop.

If it takes you 7 months to answer this one I shall award you the prize of 'Worst Customer Service', with honours.

Power Management

I have the same issue with my Ideapad Z370 running Windows 8 64bit, Action Center says:

Lenovo ACPI-Compliant Virtual Power Controller isn't compatible with this version of windows.

I've tried uninstalling driver and re-installing it, I also did as administrator and the problem still...
