I want to use the WIDI on my Ideapad Z580 but the Atheros wifi card isn't compatible.
So I bought an Intel Centrino N-6230 and installed it (no problem).
As I start the laptop , just after Bios I have an error message "Wifi card not compatible, please switch";
How can I use the new wifi card (the bios is to basic to change something).

Welcome to the forum.
Unfortunately, you can't just use any WiFi card in your Lenovo Z580. You have to use a card that has the Lenovo FRU stamped on it.

Please note: Even if you get a new Intel WiFi card, the WiDi probably will not work. WiDi has to be pre-installed by the factory (Lenovo) for it to work.
