Hi, I have the Lenovo Y510p i7 4th generation. I do not use it for gaming and only need it for 4K Video Editing on Premiere Pro CC. It has the NVidia GT 755M Graphics card in it.
I would like to make it a 16GB RAM Setup.
-Which third party RAM would be most recommended by you guys for my laptop for editing?
-Can i add a 8GB RAM to the existing 8GB RAM that came with the laptop or does it need to be a pair of the same company?
-Can it be one single 16gb card or dual 8+8 gb cards. Any specific voltage, DDR3, MHz I should consider while purchasing RAMs.
Thanks in Advance

Greetings and Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
As I understand that you have query regarding Memory upgrade in Y510p
According to this up to 16GB DDR3L- 1600Mhz (Support Dual Channel).
For better performance try to use 2x8GB in each slots. Not necessary to use same brand RAM in each slots just make sure that specs are same thats all.
And also voltage and frequency matters it should work with any brands. Still find below some Lenovo tested 8GB RAM's
I hope the above information helped you.

You need low voltage (1.35V) DDR3L-1600. Single 16GB DIMMs won't work. (5th generation and later)

Thank you for the response Prabhansh. I think i will hang on to my 8GB RAM inside and add another 8GB to it for the moment.
What about this one. The specs seem to match.
Also, this one but it says 1.5v on this
Which one of the above two will be better for my setup?
And Would the G.SKILL RIPJAW give better performance than the DDR3L 1600 8GB, Samsung, M471B1G73BH0-YK0 you recommended?
I am looking to purchased best in performance RAM's in the 8GB Space.

The second link one which you have mentioned it is a Desktop RAM not for laptop.
You can use either of them Samsung or Ripjaw series as both are meeting the requirements.
