Hello, I would like to make it a 32GB RAM Setup.
-Which third party RAM would be most recommended by you guys for my laptop for editing?
-Can I add a 16GB RAM to the existing 16GB RAM that came with the laptop or does it need to be a pair of the same company?

Max OEM recommended ram for this model is 16GB.
Even if the CPU would support 32 GB, system certified functionality is still with the commited 16 GB and may cause issue challenges. Crucial has been one third party parts provider would not also offer ram exceeding manufacturer supported memory.
Investing on another business pc like thinkline laptop that supports 32 GB maybe an option instead. But if you have a spare 16GB of the same brand if not the same specs to try then we would see the challenges if any (not to encourage buying one but only if a spare is available).
I hope this helps answer your query.

I have bought 2x 16GB Crucial 1600MHz CT204864BF160B - see specs below (picture attached):
I put them into Lenovo Y510P, but I could even went through BIOS. Previously I had 2x 8GB Crucial CT102464BF160B.M16FED DDR4 1600 SODIMM 1.35V.
I tried also with 1 new ram and 1 old one. I could boot into Windows 8.1, and CPU-Z shown 24GB singe channel in Memory tab, but in Performance tab in Task Manager has shown only 8GB as it only recognized the 1x 8GB ram.
Is there posibility that this specific, i.e. 2X16GB ram, is incompatible or there is no way to increase ram to 32GB.
Thank in advance for your support.
