I am wanting to upgrade the ram on my Lenovo Z580 laptop running windows 10. It currently has 1 stick of 4gb in it. With 2 slots on the PC.
I want to put 8gb in. If I put in the computers details on crucial it recommends me DDR3L ram and will this be compatible?...
It is also higher at 1600mhz instead of 1333. Can anyone tell me what I need to get for full compatibilty and no overheating.
Any help is appreciated

Your memory spec is here, pdf page 234
8GB max; PC3-12800 1600MHz DDR3*, non-parity
Depending on CPU, the memory will clock down to 1333mhz.
page 247 has OEM memory part numbers.
655 x 2=1310 ~~~1333 mhz memory, Memory has "two edges", ie Double Data Rate(DDR).
