My laptop keeps dropping the internet connection. I've had my modem replaced, it's not that. I called Lenovo, it's not a hardware pproblem, it's possibly a software problem - they need to reconfigure the settings, but it will also cost me $89 to do - which I'm going to do my level best to avoid paying as the warranty only covers hardware.
Is there any way I can do this on my own? I don't even know for sure what's wrong with it. It just intermittenly drops the internet and the laptop has to be restarted before it will pick it up again.
BTW - it's an ideapad p500 touch running Windows 8.
