Re: Red LED from my audio jack from my Y400

Hi
Welcome to the forums!!
This light usually comes when something is plugged in the jack or on verge of getting in(not fully inside). As my friend rcvjew said, you should check if something is plugged in. You might also try reinstalling the audio driver from the link below as it may help
http://support.lenovo.com/en_IN/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS033346
Also try inserting a soft earbud in it.
Could you also tell if you did anything before this problem arised?

Re: Red LED from my audio jack from my Y400

Agreed it probably thinks something is plugged in already as the light is for if your using a toslink adapter for optical out it will pulse that light to make the signals so what I recommend you do is turn off the pc and blow some canned air in their also try reinstalling your drivers.

Re: Red LED from my audio jack from my Y400

If this happened just after spilling of water, then it possibly is because of the water.
Btw, did you check the earbud trick i told or tried reinstalling drivers?

Re: Red LED from my audio jack from my Y400

the red led means there is something wrong with the drivers....remove whatever you have from the control pannel/unninstal and the driver menager and than install the new driver. 100% checked
