My daughter has an Ideapad Y510. During our recent vaction the LCD screen was damaged. I now need to replace the screen, but I am unsure about how to remove the damaged one from the the bezel. I think I have an idea but I want to make sure with someone here before I start.

The filling of Y510 is not hard to deal with if you've disassembled at least two notebooks. You'll need a guitar mediator and a philips screwdriver. Be sure to disconnect AC adapter and battery. While disassembling be sure to disconnect all wires you see carefully before youdeal with screws.
Or you mean you need a detailed guide on this procedure?
It's better to call service center to replace the screen.

Yes. But you'll have to remove panel with quick buttons first (use mediator), then keyboard, cardreader gag, disconnect touchpad wire, speaker wire, launch board wire, and only after that you can handle the plastic cover (here we go with mediatr again).
