Screen issues- Y50 y70 touch

After replacing my previous Lenovo Laptop because of my screen going black, my wife purchased this y50-y70 touch as a gift. I only had this since January 2016 and I'm already having problems with this too. I use this as a work computer so it is usually on at least 8 hours a day. The screen has a discoloration at the bottom left corner. It looks like when someone put a magnet next to an old TV causing the display to discolor. Also, the screen flickers a lot. And just today the display turned green. 

 

I've updated all the drivers which didn't have any effect on the flickering. After reading some other posts with similar issues, I went ahead and changed some display settings in the graphics properties. I hope someone can help with these issues. I've had this computer for less than a year. 

 

I currently have Windows 10 Pro installed.

Similar to this post you may initially try the service tip provided if that would be able to help resolve this issue. 

 

Else for the same issue follow this recommendation

 

" The Lenovo investigation into customer reports of blanking or blinking displays on Y50-70, Y50-70 Touch, and Y70-70 Touch laptops has concluded.

 

If you are experiencing these symptoms, please upgrade your laptop to BIOS v3.03 or above:

If the updated BIOS fails to resolve these symptoms, please contact Lenovo Service for support and reference Service TIP # SF15-I0026/ HT104155. "
