I will be clear and to the point:
"The Battery gauge is messed up. It never shows how much it ACTUALLY is. Like right now its stuck on 99% when I know it should be less (Since i've been using it alot on battery)"
These are the things I did:
1. Reinstalled Windows 10.
2. Disabled Lenovo ACPI Controller and Uninstalled Microsoft ACPI Battery Drivers.
3. NEVER used Lenovo Battery Manager.
Please tell me a possible fix other than Downgrading back to Windows 8.1.

I will receive my Y40-70 tomorrow with a new battery. Before I reinstalled windows 8 but the problem was never solved. I don't know if I will reinstall Windows 10 ...... But a lenovo technical expert told me that Windows 10 was not suppose to make any change of this kind to your computer.

Any update on this issue so far from Lenovo guys?
Even i am facing this issue, my battery is shows 100% and drops to 10% in 30 mins and to 0% in another 5 mins and at last goes dead.
Even after doing multiple Gauge resets on windows 10, i dont find any fix or betterment in battery performance.
How can i get a solution for this? Should i get a battery replacemen or is there any software fix fir this battery problem.
Any help appreciated.

In response to customer reports of unexpected battery gauge behavior on Y40-70 and Y40-80 laptops, Lenovo determined the battery gauge software is performing as expected. The unusual gauge results being reported are a reflection of the battery reaching end of life.
Lenovo has released a Service TIP to assist customers with obtaining battery replacements under warranty, or if out of warranty, to find a replacement battery from Lenovo-approved vendors. The Service TIP can be found here: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/sf16-I0023
The part numbers for Y40-70/80 batteries are:
Y40 SP/A L13M4P01 7.4V48Wh 4cell bty (Y40-70/Y40-80) 121500248
Y40 LG L13L4P01 7.4V48Wh 4cell bty (Y40-70/Y40-80) 121500249 substitute part 121500251
Y40 CP/C L13C4P01 7.4V48Wh 4cell bty (Y40-70/Y40-80) 121500259 substitute part 121500251
To determine which battery came with your Y40 notebook, instructions for removing the bottom cover can be found in the Hardware Maintenance Manual pdf here. An alternate to opening your system (which does not void warranty) is to search for batteries using the model/product number located on the bottom cover.
