Dear YYY

Welcome to Lenovo forums

Regarding the SSD it wont appear in the device manager but you can check it at the disk management and for the devices that has the yellow mark please try to uninstall each and every one of them and refresh or restart and check
but first inform us if you have any devices that is not functioning properly

Thanks you

I kind of did, but still the problem

unknown device sandisk ssd u100 16gb
I wrote to support SanDisk
The response was
Thanks for emailing SanDisk Technical Support. It is our goal to make sure you have all the resources you need to get the most from your product.

I apologize for the inconvenience, however, I would like to inform you that there is no firmware update available for this drive and it comes with the default firmware,

Also, I would like to inform that this is an OEM drive which is supplied to the manufacturers like Lenovo in bulk as per the requirement and specifications provided by them, and is not available as Retail drive, hence I would suggest you to contact the manufacturer for further support or possible replacement in case of a bad drive, and if your machine is still under warranty.

You won't be able to see the SSD as a separate device as long as it's used as cache. That's how it works.

Regarding "unknown devices" try installing chipset driver.
