Sorry, STILL cannot open the rear cover of my Y700-15". Tips, please.

Hi All,

 

I have seen this thread and have seen the pictures in the manual, but I still cannot open the rear of my Y700-15. I certainly cannot budge it using my thumbs like in the picture. It has even been opened by repair personnel, so should be a little looser, but I cannot replicate this at home.

 

I have removed the 11 screws.

 

Is there some pry tool that is needed to slip under the front and jimmy it out?  The seam appears far too small for that.

 

Could some kind soul tell me specifically what they did after removing the screws? Am really having a hard time with this.  So, Step 1, take out the 11 screws, Step 2, open the monitor and...

Yes, that video did the trick! Thanks. I wound up using a spudger and aggressively working it into the very narrow gap in the front.
