i have lenovo z510 laptop i was have an issue with the keyboard which was freezing and acting weird but i went to support center and told me that the issue was in bios and i/o program in the motherboard (i didn't sure about the real name but i think he told me i/o or alo maybe) , the issue solved and laptop back to work correctly and all hotkeys functions works except sound keys (which are F1 for mute,F2 for decrease and F3 for increase volume in my laptop) but the keys itself f1,f2 and f3 works well
i told the technician who solved my keyboard issue last time but he told me to reinstall the windows as he made changes into bios programs so i installed win 10 and install all drivers but the problem still exist ! i try all solutions that is available on the internet but there is any advance so i came here if anyone can help me ??

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
Try a static discharge for this, it may help to resolve the issue or at least get rid of any built up static on the motherboard.
(If the battery is internal, please just skip the remove/replace battery steps.)
1. Turn the unit off
2. Remove the battery and the Mains adapter
3. Press and hold the front power button for 30 seconds
4. Replace the battery and the Mains adapter
5. Turn the unit on as normal
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
