Speakers and headphones playing at the same time

2016-02-01, 11:08 AM
Recently I've occurred with a problem. But I don't know how to fix it. My speakers are playing at the same time when i plug in my headphones. So there's audio coming out of both. How do I fix this?

Hi Shabirah1997 ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Step 1: You may try to set default initially to get back the previous settings. Similar steps on this article .

Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound > Playback tab > Set Default at the bottom > Apply

Step 2 :Doing a reset on command prompt :

Click on start and search for CMD , right click to run as administrator . type net stop AudioSrv

then  net start AudioSrv

Step 3 : Jumping back to previous working date with System Restore

Step 4: Rollback / Uninstall and Reinstall audio drivers from D:/Lenovo /Drivers folder or download from support site.

See which one works for you best.

I would suspect the headphone plug. Since once inserted all the way it is suppose to mechanically disconnect the sound from the speakers.

Did it ever work with them?

Try a different set of head phones and be sure its in all the way.
