Stange artifact in the borders of the windows (Win 7 64, Y560)

Hello,

I have a IdeaPad Y560 with a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730.

This is the thing...

With the Aero activated on my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits using:

Versión del paquete de controladores	8.683.3.1-100303a-097041C-Lenovo
Proveedor	ATI Technologies Inc.
Versión de controlador 2D	8.01.01.984
Ruta de archivo de controlador 2D	/REGISTRY/MACHINE/SYSTEM/ControlSet001/Control/CLASS/{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}/0000
Versión de Direct3D	8.14.10.0716
Versión de OpenGL	6.14.10.9236
Versión de Catalyst™ Control Center	2010.0303.2147.39081

When I move the windows arround the screen I see a strange border that kind of "moves".

Is like the borders are not well defined.

Happens also on -for example- the inside windows of Excel.

But, if I turn off the Aero, the borders are OK.

Any ideas?

Re: Stange artifact in the borders of the windows (Win 7 64, Y560)

I like the small ants that are on Photoshop selection all arround the edges of any window.

I also can add that the "ants" are on the horizontal edges when I move the window vertically.

Same "ants" on the vertical when I move the windows horizontally.

Any ideas?

Any new video driver version?

I have the same problems, long with a strange shimmering look across the entire screen when using the ATI graphics.  Almost like it's going through some sort of crappy analog connection.  EVERY pixel dances!

Re: Stange artifact in the borders of the windows (Win 7 64, Y560)

Do you also have a Y560 with one video card? I mean, this ATI Radeon.

Did you do a clean Windows 7 install? Are you using 64 bits?

What driver version do you have installed?

Had you tried this one: http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/us/en/DriversDownloads/drivers_show_2616.html

Seams to be a little more "new".

Also, you mean that all the screen daces? Or just the edges?

Re: Stange artifact in the borders of the windows (Win 7 64, Y560)

To add.

Also happens on:

Versión del paquete de controladores	8.702.5-100505a-100064C-Lenovo
Proveedor	ATI Technologies Inc.
Versión de controlador 2D	8.01.01.1004
Ruta de archivo de controlador 2D	/REGISTRY/MACHINE/SYSTEM/ControlSet001/Control/CLASS/{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}/0000
Versión de Direct3D	8.14.10.0728
Versión de OpenGL	6.14.10.9551
Versión de Catalyst™ Control Center	2010.0505.2241.38914

This is the driver I got from:

http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/us/en/DriversDownloads/drivers_show_2616.html

Too bad.

Re: Stange artifact in the borders of the windows (Win 7 64, Y560)

Can you people post your LCD panel brand and model and if you see the ants arround the edges?

We need to know if this is a panel issue or a video driver issue or a BIOS issue...

Thanks!

I want to make a refurnd because of he crappy display. Two questions : can the problem solve with a new bios or not? Will the service change this display to a good one? Need answers from the Lenovo team ASAP!
