The warranty status about my ideapad Y460

2010-08-22, 19:36 PM

I placed my purchase order of Y 460 and an additional 2-year in home NBD warranty service on Lenovo official website on Aug 18th, I got it on Aug 21st. Maybe I should say it's quickly enough. However, after I put my serial number to the lenovo website and tried to ensure my warranty status, I found my warranty will expire on 09/07/2011... I really have no any idea about how LENOVO figure this date out, but I'm pretty sure that this date is incorrect ...

Does anyone meet the same problem with me ? Is there any one know how to fix it? Thanks a lot!

You must contact Lenovo with your invoice to show them the exactly date you have bought your laptop.

The warranty extension counts from the day you have bought your laptop.

Be sure you are using the IdeaPad warranty checker, not the ThinkPad one: FYI: finding drivers and warranty info

If you see the extension but it starts on the date of manufacture, you will need to do as IPnaSh says.
