Yesterday, I attempted to download a new version of Nividia's Graphics Driver on my Y50. It was taking quite a while, so I tried to watch some Netflix while I was waiting. But, as soon as I hit play, the screen froze. I tried to restart my PC, and it loads the Lenovo start screen, but after that it just turns black. I've had the PC for 3+ years, so I'm pretty sure it is no longer covered under warranty. I've turned it on and off multiple times, but it won't start in safe mode.
Also, if this is at all relevant, this was the second time I was attempting to download the driver. The first time, it stoped saying instillation failed or something under those lines, but I didn't think much of it.

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
Check if you are able to use the NOVO button on the unit to start it up.
Make sure its turned off, and then attempt to use the recovery button to start the unit.
See if you can get into recovery menu, but be careful, if you start the recovery, it will delete all your data back to factory setup.
If these steps do not work I would recommend, that you call your local Lenovo support line for a possible service. Below is the link to the phone list where you can find these numbers
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
