hi sahilnair,
Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
Download this driver
Realtek Audio Driver for 64-bit Windows
This installer comes in two phases when you run it
Phase 1 is the extraction and 2nd is the Actual installation.
Run this software and it will say it will install but disregards it it will give you a path box where it will say where it will be extracted Takenote of the path.
Now continue with the installation until you come to a page where you will see a check box that will say install the Realtek driver, Uncheck it and it will not proceed with the actual installation anymore
Now Open the Path that it gave you earlier, ex. C:/drivers/Realtek
Look inside that realtek folder and look for a folder named Dolby or DolbyGUI
inside that folder you will find installation files
Dolby Advanced audio
Dolby Theater
Dolby digital plus
Install the one that came with your system and you should have it back
Hope this helps
Cheers!

No, I downloaded the driver and followed the instruction but the error persists, It needs a lower version now what to do?

hi sahilnair,
I see now.
The Audio Driver you have is lower that's why you need a lower versioni of the Dolby because it should be in sync.
Try this Uninstall the Audio driver first from Device Manager, be sure to do it this way
1. Under Device manager, Open sound and gaming controllers, now right click on your audio device (realtek)
Select uninstall, A pop up should appear asking to delete driver software, Be sure to place a check on the box.
2. Restart the system and it should be back under device manager, Repeat step one and do this again until you only see High defitnition Audio under Device Manager, This indicates that you are running in a Generic Audio driver.
3. Now to reinstall a synced Audio and Dolby driver.
Download this driver
Realtek Audio Driver for 64-bit Windows
And this time install this all the way thru.
restart the computer installation.
Install the one that came with your system and you should have it back
Let me know your findings
Cheers!

The driver which lenovo is providing is an updated one,
I noticed that i have uninstalled the updated one driver 7.6.3.1 not 7.5.1.1.
**7.5.1.1 is not included in the setup**
Where can we find 7.5.1.1?

Same laptop model Y50-70) same problem. Will following these instructions install Dolby Digital Plus audio driver version 7.5.1.1? Or will this update Dolby Digital Plus to accept a different driver version. And if a different driver version, which one? I currently have version 6.0.1.7535 under Device Manager, Sound, Realtek. Thank you.
