I have been using this laptop for almost 4 years now.
So its super slow now and needs some boost.
I need to know if i can upgrade my RAM and Wifi adapter for better speed?
Would it help?
CPU: i7-4702MQ 2.2Ghz
SSHD: 1tb + 8 gb

Welcome to the Community Forums.
As per page 27 of the hardware maintenance manual you have a max of 16 GB for the RAM that would increase multi tasking and web use (specs: DDR3-1600/1333MHz SODIMM × 2 (max 16 GB) similar to this discussion.
About WLAN upgrade, whitelist cards only offer same BGN features and no 5GHz as this post.
I hope this helps answer your query.

I am aware of the 16 gb limitation. But adding the RAM would help the performance or is my processor to ancient to work efficiently.
Because sometime it takes almost more than a minute to boot up.But my SHD drive is almost 900 gb full.
About the wifi card: Should i get external one which connect to 5G network?
And one more question : I was browsing online and I have seen people removing CD Drive and adding SSD in place of that. Would it help in system performance?

Adding RAM do not increase performace of a single task but it does make multi tasking faster. Multiple browsing and using ram hungry apps like photo/ video applications would sure need it.
The benchmark of your CPU is decent to match current 8GB. Personally I would rather check the performance of the storage drive. Disabling start up programs and non essential running applications can help.
Consider also lessening the content of the drive as this would lessen need for data caching.
Adding storage via caddy would just be another place to put your stuff so it would just take power and would not really help on current performance issue.
